SketchUp Pro is available for the Windows and Mac OS X platforms. SketchUp Make (external link) (free desktop version) based on SketchUp Pro 2017. SketchUp Free (external link) (web app) alternative for schools not using G Suite and Microsoft. SketchUp for Schools (external link) is a web-based 3D modeling app available free to schools, through Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and Microsoft for Education platforms. Schools must use the following free versions after the 2021 licence expires on 1 July 2022. Note: Expired licences are not automatically renewed.


SketchUp Pro is a useful teaching and learning tool that teachers can use in a range of year levels and subject areas. SketchUp Pro software is free for state and state-integrated schools, and available at a discount to individual or private schools.
